Rachel Waddell

Rachel comes to OutWest with about 20 years of riding experience and working with horses, including teaching beginner youth riders. She has a formal riding and horsemanship background from Pony Club, in which members must pass rigorous testing in many areas of horse care.  She has also shown in Pleasure, Dressage and Eventing and currently participates in several other disciplines.

Since she was a teenager in Pony Club, Rachel has been teaching young riders.  And in the past 7 years, she has been working with special needs children in a Hippotherapy/Therapeutic riding setting, as well as giving private lessons to beginners of all ages.  Rachel is passionate about horses and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with others.

In addition to riding, Rachel combines her creative passion of design and sewing with the world of fashion and western wear.  She is the owner and tailor at RAW Designs, a business that focuses on custom western apparel and embroidery.
